A signed hockey puck is one of the easiest pieces of memorabilia to lose to a junk drawer — it's small, it rolls, and a shelf sitting flat doesn't show off the autograph or show it off at all. The right display keeps the puck stationary, angled so the signature actually faces out, and off the surfaces where it can get knocked around.
Wall Mount vs. Shelf Stand
Both hold a standard-sized puck without a case. The difference is really about where you have room and how you want it to read from across the room.
Wall mount — puts the puck at eye level and turns it into part of the room, the way a framed photo would. Good for a single standout puck: a game-winner, a rookie autograph, a puck from a milestone game. Mounts with screws for a permanent hang or 3M strips for a no-hole option on rentals.
Shelf or desk stand — better when you're building a small collection and want a few pucks grouped together, or when you don't have (or don't want to use) wall space. A stand also travels well if you rearrange a shelf often.
Setting It Up
However you mount it, a few things make the display last:
Keep it out of direct sunlight — UV fades ink signatures over months, even indoors through a window. Dust with a dry microfiber cloth rather than spray cleaners, which can smear an unprotected autograph. If the puck doesn't have a UV display case, consider one for anything you'd call irreplaceable; a mount works with or without a case.
DYS3D's hockey display mounts are built to order in either style, sized for a standard puck, and available with screw or 3M mounting.
